Our client is seeking a warehouse operative for their Eggbrough site. This is a Monday to Friday role, and for the right candidate, it has the potential to become a permanent position after successfully completing 13 weeks of temporary work.
The key responsibilities of the role include:

Accurately picking products from stock based on delivery notes and safely loading them onto the designated vehicle/trailer, making efficient use of available space and documenting all necessary load details. If the load contains multiple deliveries, ensure proper segregation and annotation on the delivery note for driver awareness.

Assembling and organizing orders/loads before dispatch, conducting accuracy checks, and obtaining signed confirmation on the warehouse copy.

Ensuring that no damaged or substandard products are loaded and that all products have undergone sufficient curing time.

Performing daily checks on forklift trucks and reporting any identified defects.

Adhering to all safety procedures while operating the forklifts.

Effectively communicating with colleagues and visitors during loading/unloading processes, ensuring awareness of site procedures, and addressing any unsafe behaviors promptly.

Unloading returned stock or raw materials safely and in accordance with standard operating procedures. Noting any damages on the paperwork and placing the products in designated areas.

Removing damaged and substandard products from warehouse locations and relocating them to the designated re-pack area. Reporting to stock control.

Reporting any damages to products, property, or equipment to the line manager immediately.

Assisting with periodic stock checks and promptly reporting any shortages or discrepancies.

Supporting site safety by utilizing available safety tools.

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in all working areas, documenting where applicable on the audit tracker.

Utilizing and operating systems relevant to the role.

Undertaking any additional duties as required by the line manager or management team within the scope of the job.

Adhering to all policies and procedures, including health and safety, waste elimination, environmental care, equal opportunity, and fraud prevention.
