Locations - Bodmin, Bournemouth, Plymouth, Exeter, Barnstable, Redruth, Torquay and surrounding areas
Business Area?- Kier Utilities - South West Water

Permanent - Full Time - 45 hours week

Hourly paid with potential for base rate up to £11.36/hr.

You will be required to work a 5-day shift pattern, this will include weekends.

Enhanced pay rates for hours worked on shifts between 06:30 and 20:30.

Standby will be required as part of the role. Additional standby and callout payments are made. All standby hours are paid at an enhanced rate.

We have opportunities for skilled operatives in all areas to work as part of the Reactive or Planned Work Delivery Teams within the Network Service Alliance, specifically on clean water related projects. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered to technical and customer specification with a strong emphasis on meeting Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards and regulation.

Working as part of a small team you'll need to have experience of working on the highway carrying out service/mains repairs & maintenance, meter installations and the installation of new water connections. Candidates with similar experience in another industry such as electricity or gas will be considered.

This role will require you to work as part of a 5-day shift pattern (including a Saturday or Sunday on a rota-basis) as well as the need to undertake standby duties. Weekend working as part of the shift is compensated with a weekday off, providing flexibility and opportunity for improved work life balance for many.


What do we need from you?

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who hold the following qualifications or experience. It is essential that you hold a Full Driving License, NRSWA Operative qualification and have experience in Utilities. You must be a committed and reliable hard worker who is punctual and self-motivated. You must be able to work as part of a team. If you hold 360 mini excavator qualification and have water network experience this is highly desirable.
