Weekend Manager - Thursday - Monday
Data Centre, Slough
Fixed term contract until November
The Slough Data Centre is the construction of a new 3 storey 24 MegaWatt Hyperscale Data Centre, together with the fit out of an existing adjoining building.
What will the role look like?
- Overseeing the logistical requirements of a live, occupied project
- Delegating work to colleagues within your team
- Meeting regularly with the rest of the project team, third parties and other managers
- Setting targets, objectives and responsibilities for all supervised staff/overseeing supervised staff
- Regularly reviewing timings, budget, labour, risk, and project plans to ensure work stays on track
- Conducting site surveys (PVA, CI, RA) to inspect work, check materials and ensure staff are following health and safety guidelines
- Evaluating & mitigating the impact of any issues
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality work within contract timescales
- Working in an office and construction site.
- Reviewing the weekend plan and booked resources/contractors
- Reporting on H&S and progress
- Completing associated paperwork (weekend work reports/reports, H&S, productivity sheet)
What skills & experience are we looking for?
- Ideally you will have experience in working on Data Centres, or have a strong MEP background working on live, occupied sites.
- Project Delivery - scope, timescales, cost and client need
- Project handover - driving standards, deadlines, problem solving and resource planning
- Quality management - processed and standards, technical requirements and monitoring
- Trade contractor management - the ability to apply vigilance in trade contractor selection, monitoring and standards
