Breedon is a leading construction materials group in the UK and Ireland. We operate two cement plants, around 80 quarries, 40 asphalt plants, 170 ready-mixed concrete and mortar plants, nine concrete and clay products plants, four contract surfacing businesses, six import/export terminals and two slate production facilities.

We are currently seeking a Weighbridge Administrator on a fixed term contract, based at our Penrhyn Quarry in Bethesda, North Wales. The role is temporary and is expected to last for approximately 10 weeks. The role is responsible for all tasks relating to the day-to-day running of the weighbridge and will involve ensuring tasks are carried out in a clearly structured and timely manner, keeping both customers and hauliers up to date with detail on orders and collections/deliveries.

The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Receiving and managing orders by phone, email and fax
  • Planning, booking and arranging transport and hauliers to coincide with orders - both at Penrhyn Quarry and remote sites
  • Weighing vehicles in and out and ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly
  • Support to booking out both Roofing and Architectural customers and completing all relevant paperwork completely and correctly
  • Completing CMR documentation for foreign deliveries and collections
  • Ensuring any weighing issues are reported to the Logistics Manager
  • Liaising with customers and hauliers on a daily basis to ensure a good working relationship is maintained
  • Providing support to the Customer Support Office
  • Ensuring the float for cash sales is correct at all times. Tickets and cash prepared for the accounts team
  • Filing completed orders, delivery Notes and tickets
