Breedon is a leading construction materials group in the UK and Ireland. We operate two cement plants, around 80 quarries, 40 asphalt plants, 170 ready-mixed concrete and mortar plants, nine concrete and clay products plants, four contract surfacing businesses, six import/export terminals and two slate production facilities.
Breedon Southern Ltd are currently seeking a Weighbridge Operative to join our friendly team based in the offices at our Kettleby Quarry, South Humberside.
Reporting to the Production Manager your role will be to liaise with drivers entering and leaving the site, receiving orders from the quarry and accurately ticketing materials for dispatch to customers. You will be operating a computer to detail order requirements, working as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service. Additional business administration duties will also be required and also carry out other administration duties as required by the business. The ideal candidate will be confident and outgoing and have a willing attitude towards work. They will be a strong communicator, possessing the ability to converse with visitors, colleagues, customers and senior managers. They will also have a good telephone manner and be pleasant and helpful.
Working in this busy environment, the successful candidate must be highly organised and have a good eye for detail. Good IT skills would also be very advantageous. Experience in an administrative role would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.
