Your main responsibility will be to ensure despatch transactions are executed accurately and efficiently, making sure weights are recorded and paperwork is issued and is compliant with relevant standards. Customer service is key as you may at times be dealing with customers over the telephone. You should therefore be able to meet customer demand whilst maintaining the desired level of customer service. You will be required to deal with tickets queries in a quick and timely manner. You will also be required to undertake general administration and reception duties.
Ideally you will have knowledge of road haulage operations and experience in a similar role. An awareness of the quarrying industry would be advantageous. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills, are able to work in a pressured environment, and have a strong desire to provide high levels of customer service.
You will be required to be flexible in the hours that you work, as the role will involve working some Saturdays.
