My client is a specialist engineering firm based in Warwickshire, they manufacture control panels, switchgear and electrical instrumentation for various industries including power generation. Due to an increase in consumer demand, and large orders both from UK and US based clients, they are looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Manager from an electrical manufacturing background.

THE ROLE OF WORKSHOP MANAGER

    Managing a team of 20+

    Electrical Fitters and Mechanical Fitters

    Liaising with higher management and the shopfloor

    Taking control of stock management

    Ensuring build times are on schedule

    Maximising efficiency from staff and processes

THE RIGHT WORKSHOP MANAGER

    Electrical Manufacturing background

    Hands on as well administrative knowledge

    Lean manufacturing experience

    Just on time knowledge

    Firm but fair mentality
