We are looking for an individual with good communication and problem solving skills, valued member of the team with the ability to ensure that our containers are maintained to the best quality for our valued customer. Reporting structure Yard Foreman will have direct reporting line to the Branch Manager. Heading a team of Yard operatives, you will be responsible to assist and oversee routine and repair maintenance and modifications to units in a proficient and timely manner and in line with company quality standards ensuring that our containers are well maintained and available to for hire to our customers. You will have an eye for detail and the ability to plan and forecast work. The ideal candidate would have some experience of the hire industry, however this is not essential as training and coaching would be provided. Key Responsibilities Responsible for managing, motivating and coaching yard employees. Overseeing all necessary paperwork is completed accurately as requested, to include repair and job sheets Manage the routine and repair maintenance and modifications to units in a proficient and timely manner, and in line with high quality standards Manage the refurbishment of containers and accommodation units to the required standard and achieving target numbers. Manage any repair and service calls on customer sites providing exceptional customer service. Comply with company procedure when booking units in and out of the yard Ensure that any reported faults on workshop equipment is dealt with Supervise depot Forklift truck operations and ensure that all units are safely stacked. Supervise Yard Operatives and Sub Contractors to ensure their workload is prioritised so units are ready on time Responsible for planning where the equipment is in the yard Liaise closely with the office to ensure effective communication about the status of workload. Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and returned to the office including damage reports Oversee day to day stock levels Ensure that daily checks are carried out and documented on equipment Provide and organise training where required for yard team including new employees Competencies and qualifications •Strong leadership skills and previous supervisory experience is essential •Previous experience in joinery, basic electrics, plumbing or welding is essential •Valid Driving Licence •CSCS would be an advantage •Computer literate •Flexible and willing to support the needs of the business •Highly motivated with the ability and desire to make a difference •Take ownership for improving safety standards and creating a safety first environment. •Ability to communicate company information to the team ensuring they understand the company’s values, goals and results. •Promote Mobile Mini’s core values to the yard team at all times and lead by example •Be able to coach and support the yard team building a positive team environment •Be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and putting the customer at the heart of everything they do.
