A leading independently owned Mechanical, Electrical and Fabric property maintenance business in the UK, providing both Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance to nearly 2,000 clients in locations all over the UK
Job Role
As the commercial manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the finances of a project (a Building Services/M&E Framework) for a major client with various locations across the UK.
- Strategically expanding, preserving or improving procedures and standards.
- Resolving contractual and commercial problems.
- Overseeing financial KPI's of the project.
- Offering financial direction and instruction to the project team, ensuring they understand key aspects of the contract.
- Reporting on financial performance to the project manager and other senior staff members.
- Assessing risk.
- Managing and mentoring the quantity surveying team.
Person
As the Commercial Manager you will have a Quantity Surveying background with experience in NEC3 Opt C contracts and experience working with in a framework
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent client liaison and people management skills.
- Good negotiating skills.
- Extensive understanding of the construction industry.
- Good analytical, financial and numeracy skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of contracts and the legal framework.
- Good leadership skills.
