M&E Design Manager sought after in an International colocation provider. Our client is part of one of the world's largest telecommunications service providers . To date they are one of Europe's top colocation providers providing highly resilient and energy efficient data center services

They are looking for an energetic and proven Design Manager and data center subject matter expert. Working within the Technical Team this role involves driving Mechanical / Electrical technical excellence during the full life cycle of the data centre.

Roles and responsibilities:

    You will drive a multi-disciplinary design delivery process acting as the primary contact to external design vendors, liaising with various internal stakeholders and consulting with senior members of the Design & Engineering (D&E) team to ensure best design decisions are made with careful assessment of risks and opportunities.

    Undertake and/or supervise design reviews to ensure compliance with company design standards, local code requirements and the project brief

    Lead development of technical specifications that capture key design requirements and protect their interests.

    Produce technical designs and prepare / attend Technical Presentations and Design Workshops with Clients with support from the Account Management team

    Complete audits and input into quality assurance on new and existing facilities to ensure installations are in line with both the design intent and best practices

Requirements

    University Degree in suitable Engineering Discipline

    CENG Status or working towards it

    Possess a clean full driving licence

    Several years of professional experiences, ideally also in the data centres and/or similar high tech content M&E led industries (e.g. Pharmaceutical, Food & Drink manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Energy)

    Experience working within multi-disciplinary design teams, preferably in a leading role

    Experience in design consultant/client engineer/site engineer/contractor engineer roles
