Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, inc benefits
We are looking to recruit an experienced Electrician to carry out reactive repairs and maintenance for the local council.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults using appropriate testing and measuring equipment.
- Full or partial re-wiring to council properties (both domestic and communal) including testing, commissioning, and certifying of these works.
- Completing relevant certification of electrical works, including all types of cable containment, wiring of door entry/warden call systems, fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, installation and testing of emergency lighting systems and 3 phase power switching and distribution.
- Undertaking a range of associated builder's works including core-drilling, lifting/laying floors, chasing masonry and patch plastering to areas where electrical chasing has been carried out.
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- City & Guilds 2382-15 17th Edition Course including 3rd amendment
- City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 and 2, or NVQ Level 3 including AM2, or equivalent
- City & Guilds 2382-22 18th Edition
- City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection and Testing or equivalent (desirable)
- City & Guilds 2377-22 Portable Appliance Testing
- PASMA & IPAF (desirable)
