We are Kier, one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services, working with Network Rail, we are delivering Oxford Station Phase 2 works which will increase capacity through Oxford Station to accommodate additional services planned from 2024.

We are now recruiting for a Foreman to join our Infrastructure team in Oxford to ensure utility diversions, connections, disconnections and interfaces are undertaken in a safe, timely and cost efficient manner in accordance with the relevant project plans

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting Foreman role, you will manage safety on site including giving inductions and effective Tool Box Talks, Daily Task Briefings and Point of Work Risk Assessments to site operatives. You will be responsible for organising and requisitioning site equipment, plant, and materials to ensure completion of works, as well as co-ordinating with line managers on managing work methods which are technically sound, safe, economically viable, feasible and consistent. The Foreman will maintain daily records of site activities, liaise with the line managers to produce information for progress reports and implement the requirements of work safety plans, method statements, risk assessments and other works procedures. Supervising site operatives and site activities will be the responsibility of the Foreman to ensure tasks carried out are within their levels of skill and expertise.

What do we need from you?

We are looking for a Foreman with demonstrable knowledge and practical application of the set up and day to day running of major utility diversions, connections, disconnections and interfaces, or in a comparable setting. You will have your NVQ ½, Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card and Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is desirable.
