Homeless Prevention Coordinator
Monday - Friday
On-site office-based with hybrid model in Westminster; Fully remote work not available.
£250.00per day

We are looking for someone with management/senior experience. This will involve working on specific complex cases an moving them forward as a matter of urgency.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support within the Housing Solutions Service to assist families and individuals in moving from nightly booked TA to suitable, long-term accommodation.
  • Conduct client visits to assess current situations and collaboratively develop relocation plans.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer care through compassionate and empathetic interactions with clients.
  • Offer advice and assistance on homelessness prevention and facilitate access to professional and medical support as needed.
  • Ensure a mindful approach to prioritize customer experience throughout all interactions and tasks.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve targeted objectives.
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of homelessness law and regulations, including:
  • Housing Act 1996, Part VII: Housing duty investigations, decisions, and duties owed to applicants.
  • TA suitability and S202 reviews.
  • Management of non-priority need decisions and communication regarding accommodation status.
  • Legal procedures for evictions, including Section 21 notices, Section 8 notices, and Possession Orders.
  • Provide support to individuals experiencing financial crisis, including referrals and advice on accessing relevant services and benefits.
  • Address immigration issues and assist clients with No Recourse to Public Funds.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure coordinated support for clients.
  • Adhere to relevant legislation and best practices in service delivery.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in service delivery by providing recommendations to the service manager.
