I have been asked by a client to identify a number of candidates to work as a Junior Quantity Surveyor; the company have a truly collaborative mentality and expect everyone in the organisation to work to the same goals. They are looking for candidates to feel empowered to solve problems and to deliver projects on time and under budget.

The methodology is to get it right first time and they need you to help with this.

The role I have is a Junior Quantity Surveyor, the tasks related to the role are;

  • preparation of contracts, including details regarding quantities of required materials
  • on-going cost analysis of maintenance and repair work
  • analysing completed work and arranging payment to contractors
  • allocating upcoming work to contractors
  • site visits, assessments and projections for future work
  • willingness to learn and take on board the knowledge of the QS and SQS

In order to secure this position it would be ideal if you had experience of highways projects, this is ideal, but not essential.

We are looking for people who want to be trained and developed and work within a supportive company structure that doesn't work to previously perceived construction practices.
