The Role - Maintenance Supervisor
The successful Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for providing leadership to multi-skilled engineers and operational personnel to ensure all planned, reactive maintenance operational activities are managed to deliver safe and efficient value to the business.

Main Responsibilities
Site Senior Appointed Person for Permit to Work and Lock-out-Tag-out work supervision for contractors and staff. Ensuring that all contractors have adequate site inductions and all personnel adhere to site safe working regulations
Check and vet all contractors and sites risk assessment and method statements prior to work to ensure that all works are carried out safely and efficiently
Coordinate and motivate the shift based teams to exceed performance expectations
Support a sustained culture of structured continuous improvement challenging existing processes, exploring new ways of working, benchmarking, observations, best practice, feedback and analysis, presenting business cases for change and supporting proposals
Manage suppliers and contractors to ensure their compliance to maintenance and/or lifecycle project requirements on specifications, safety, quality and delivery
Incident reporting and action tracking
The Right Person
The successful Maintenance Supervisor will have the following attributes and skills
Experience within the Waste Management industry or similar
Be qualified to HNC/Degree Level in an Engineering discipline
Strong communication skills, you should be able to communicate with shift based teams, day teams, clients, suppliers and the different departments within the company
Technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes maintenance amd operation
Practical heavy duty equipment installation experience
