Permanent At Daniel Owen, we are currently looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Shift Engineer for a Ter 1 FM Contractor who is responsible for the Hard FM Delivery on a static site in South East London. The role:
- Reporting to the M&E Supervisor
- To provide technical engineering support for Hard FM Services and carry out preventative maintenance to deadlines plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities
- To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI's
- To manage Contractors as necessary
- Working 4 on 4 off, 42 hours per week from 7am-7pm, days only.
- Must hold a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience; plumbing experience essential
- Experience in building services is required
- Competent Person L8 experience; Asbestos Awareness; Fire Alarm Testing knowledge is desirable
- Willingness to attain cross skilling and to undertake training and qualify as an Authorised Person as required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills; IT Literate
- Demonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills
- Ability to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems
- Experience in a Healthcare environment is advantageous
- In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety procedures, formal training an advantage
