Job Title: Air Conditioning (AC) Service Engineer
Location: Nottingham (and surrounding areas) Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per annum (depending on experience) + overtime + company van + benefits Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Service Engineer to join our team, working across commercial and domestic sites in the Nottingham area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance, repair, and occasional installation of a range of air conditioning systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a variety of AC systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF units, and chillers.
Diagnose and repair faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
Install new systems and upgrade existing ones where required.
Maintain accurate service records and complete job reports.
Comply with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing a high standard of customer service.
Participate in on-call rota (additional pay provided).
Requirements:
Essential:
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
F-Gas Certification (Category 1)
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
Full UK Driving Licence
Good knowledge of VRV/VRF, split, and multi-split AC systems
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
PASMA/IPAF certification
Experience with chillers and ventilation systems
Knowledge of BMS controls
CSCS Card

The ideal candidate will hold valid COMCAT 1, 3, and 5 certifications and have a strong background in gas catering equipment diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain and repair commercial catering equipment in restaurants, schools, hotels, and other foodservice sites.
Diagnose and resolve technical faults on a wide range of gas and electric catering appliances.
Carry out preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown visits.
Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and in line with Gas Safe and industry regulations.
Maintain accurate records of work completed using job management software.
Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
Essential Requirements
COMCAT 1, 3, and 5 (must be up to date).
Proven experience as a commercial catering engineer.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Good understanding of Health & Safety and compliance requirements.

Ability to work independently across a wide geographical area.
Desirable
