My client, a well-established main contractor specialising in care home construction, is currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join them on a permanent basis in the South East of England. This role offers a large scope for career progression and personal development.
Site Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all on-site activities, including subcontractor management and resource allocation.
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, mitigate risks and implement effective solutions to keep the project on schedule.

- Digital mapping experience is desirable
- Experience in rural activities such as farming or forestry is desirable.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Implementation of HR plans and strategies that support business priorities.

- Work with the business leaders to ensure execution against the plans and achievement of desired outcomes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and employees for HR-related matters.

- Work with managers to drive goal setting, quality conversations and year end summary and professional development for their respective team.
- Understand employee grievances and disputes, and partner with Ethics & Compliance and Legal teams to advise and initiate appropriate employee disciplinary actions.
- Liaise with Employment Legal team to ensure legal risks are fully considered and to ensure consistency of advice and guidance to supported teams.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition for selection assessments and offer approval where necessary.
- Support the organization in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth by implementing and managing global comprehensive learning and development programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees.
- Shape the employer branding roadmap that aligns with the company's overall brand and business objectives and execute branding strategies in partnership with global and local teams.
- Analyze current talent acquisition practices; recommend and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the talent acquisition process including candidate experience and Early Talent Programs.
- Develop, deploy and champion best-in-class processes, frameworks and programs.
- Administer external and internal surveys, analyzing survey feedback and translate trends/ insights into actionable plans
- Lead employee recognition and benefits programs.
- Participate/ Lead, execute and deploy HR projects and programs (both global and local) including HR Digital Transformation initiatives.
About you:
- Degree educated with CIPD membership.
- Experience gained in a FMCG business would be advantageous.
- At least 6 years of HR experience in a high growth organizations/ industry.
- Multinational company exposure, managing multiple stakeholders (including matrix relationships) and multi-cultural environment.
- Strong business acumen and judgment.
- Result oriented and able to develop plans/solutions and to deliver expected results even in ambiguous circumstances.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to make timely and balanced decisions.
- Excellent in business communication, negotiations and influencing skills with the ability to use a range of different approaches, to persuade others and to gain acceptance on proposals and decisions.
