Role: Project Manager

Location: Waterford

Job Purpose

Looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, from planning to completion. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will manage day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with project requirements, and act as the key point of contact between site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Project Planning and Management:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones in collaboration with the Contracts Manager and site teams.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and manage site teams, ensuring all work is conducted efficiently and safely.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Cost Control and Budgeting:

• Monitor project budgets and ensure cost control measures are in place.
• Provide regular financial updates to the Contracts Manager, addressing any variances or potential risks.

Communication and Reporting:

• Act as the primary liaison between site operations and the Contracts Manager, providing regular progress reports and addressing issues as they arise.
• Maintain open communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.

Risk and Quality Management:

• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all construction work adheres to quality standards and complies with contractual requirements, building regulations, and health and safety standards.

Contract Management:

• Work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, manage variations, and address disputes effectively.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Enforce strict adherence to health and safety policies on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.

Documentation and Administration:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, site records, and meeting minutes.
• Ensure timely submission of project deliverables, approvals, and certifications.

Qualifications, Key Skills & Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably with residential or commercial developments.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, project planning, and contract administration.
• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams.
• Thorough knowledge of construction regulations, health and safety requirements, and quality standards.

* Ensure that all designs produced:
* Are "Fit for purpose", Innovative and value engineered.
* Support efficiency of manufacture.

* Conform to statutory regulations for design, Health and Safety and operation and maintenance activities.
* Ensure drawings / parts database are always up to date with current revisions.
* Develop and maintain a set of designed standard products to support the company's objective by maximising the number of standard products offered and manufactured.
* Support the design review process, as necessary.
* Creation and maintenance of any product specific technical documentation.
* Challenge existing designs and manufacturing methods.
* Work closely with the manufacturing department, Project Engineers and Sales team to ensure designed products meet the requirements of the business.
* Be hands-on, see product through from design to commissioning.

* When standalone products are successfully sold, act as the facilitator to process these items through the company, acting as PE and liaising with internal departments and directly with clients to ensure that the orders are successfully executed. This will include creation and issuing of BOM's, issuing of drawings and production of any bespoke drawings required.
* To ensure that assigned contracts are undertaken in such a manner as to achieve customer satisfaction and to within contract cost estimate and to time schedules.
* Ensure that documentation is appropriately filed, and that the company's position is protected at all times.

Administration

* Continuous development of filing system for all standard products, so that information is easily accessible by others within the company.

Service Engineer

Our client are market leaders in the design and manufacture of industrial steam boilers and other heat process equipment and have an enviable reputation for high quality products and after-sales service.

They currently require a Field Service Engineer with experience of combustion equipment, electrical controls and systems and an appreciation of steam applications and distribution systems.

Working from home as part of a nationwide team, covering the North West, you will be ideally located within a 50 mile radius of Warrington, possess a full driving license, flexible attitude and the ability to work without supervision in a customer-driven environment are essential.

The ideal Service Engineer candidate will have:
* Sound electro-mechanical skills
* Combustion experience
* Industrial or commercial gas qualification (Gas Safe)
* An apprenticeship or formal technical qualification
