We are looking for an experienced Painter to work in Walsall.
You will be travelling to the office in Walsall and then be required to complete work in Cannock/ Kidderminster. This will be on kitchen and bathrooms and void properties around those areas. You will be completing repairs and maintenance work.
The work will be Monday- Friday with a 7:30AM start until 16:30PM.
Responsibilities:
As a painter, you will be responsible for painting and decorating kitchens and bathrooms in social housing properties. Your duties will include:
- Repairing any surface defects such as fillers or cracks before painting
- Preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding and removing old paint
- Applying paint to surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Preparing work surfaces and surrounding areas with drop-cloths, tape, and paper before applying paints
- Completing all works to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety guidelines
- Ensuring that all work areas are clean and tidy, and that all tools and equipment are properly maintained
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in painting and decorating, with a focus on kitchen and bathroom projects
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations related to the job
- A high attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload effectively
- Confidence working in a range of different properties, and the ability to effectively communicate with tenants
