Construction Project Manager's with experience in the DACH region delivering major Data Centre projects will enjoy working for a Global Data Centre Operator as they expand their footprint in Switzerland and Austria. Use market knowledge and connections in the industry to lead construction teams and supply chain, taking projects from Development all the way through to completion. The client is a Global Data Centre Operator going through a rapid expansion at present with over 20 live projects across EMEA at the moment. With excellent progression opportunities and a keen appetite to promote within, this organization will give you the chance to expand your expertise within the Construction market as they grow their presence in Switzerland and Austria.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning and execution of all construction, fit out and infrastructure projects on our campuses within the Austria/Switzerland Regions.
  • Project delivery to our internal and external EA, IST, RFO and RFS commitments within this region, ensuring timely and accurate tracking and reporting to stakeholders and Senior Leadership.
  • Govern, measure and if required correct project performance against key performance indicators and commitments across Safety, Schedule, Quality and Cost targets on our campuses and ensure alignment to the broader KPI targets across EMEA.
  • Manage, develop and coach a team of internal and external Construction Managers, Project Managers and General/Sub-Contractors on all campuses within this region, including resource planning and performance reviews. Ensure optimum and consistent resource structures are in place on all campuses within your region.
  • Ensure consistent general Construction management tasks, governance and compliance requests are adhered to consistently, including but not limited to Project , Cost and change management meetings, controls and reporting.
  • Pro-actively identify, assess, and mitigate risks that arise during the course of the projects, ensuring consistent, accurate and timely reporting from your teams within your region.

Personal Requirements

  • Professional skills - Successfully completed engineering studies (university or technical college) or equivalent
  • Many years of professional experience in project development and/or project management
  • Commercial understanding - Many years of professional experience in a data center environment desirable
  • Good knowledge of utility systems and construction processes
  • Project management certification (e.g. Prince2 or PMP)
