Kier Infrastructure Major Projects are currently recruiting for a Senior Planner to fully manage, monitor, develop and drive all aspects of our Oxford Station programme of works.
Key Responsibilities
In this exciting Senior Planner role, you'll play a key role within the Oxford Station project to aid delivery to time and budget. You'll ensure the programme is continually developed, communicated, reviewed, monitored, and efficiently delivered across all stages of the project planning life cycle, supporting the project management team through construction and into handover. Working closely with the operational team to plan the sequence of work, logistics, and resourcing of the project, as well as monitoring and providing the conscience of the project, through the design phase. As expected with a senior planning role, regular identification of change and early warning matters are an absolute, which will require production, and subsequent communication of assessments with the commercial team to manage any change.
What are we looking for?
You'll have:
- Demonstrable experience in contract planning for a main contractor, preferably under NR12 contract conditions, including change management
- Proven delivery experience of large-scale infrastructure projects with a sound technical knowledge of the construction process
- Experience of civil engineering carried out in a complex rail environment with consideration of multiple stakeholders
- High level of competency within Primavera P6, including cost loading
- Excellent communication skills, including strong leadership, management, and problem-solving skills and can take the lead with client interfaces
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and collaborative approach, with good attention to detail
