Senior Quantity Surveyor - Facades Job in Sevenoaks
Senior Quantity Surveyor required for a multidisciplinary consultancy based in Sevenoaks working on remedial cladding/façade remedial schemes in London and Home Counties. We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor from a contractor or developer background. The role can be based our of Sevenoaks or London, Westminster. You will be joining a growing and busy cost consultancy team with a strong pipeline of new build, regeneration and remedial projects for both public and private sector clients. Offering a salary of up to £70k + Bonus + Travel.
The consultancy offers a multitude of services to include project management, surveying, cost consultancy, and design management, and specialise in residential, affordable housing, major regeneration and remedial projects for developers, RPs, and Local Authorities. Made up of around 100 employees and 4 offices, they are continuing to grow with a strong pipeline of work across London, Midlands and the Southeast.
Role & Responsibilities
- Production of cost plans for recladding works from drawings
- Supporting clients by producing accurate and competitive cost estimates
- Client liaison and attending design team meetings
- Preparation of Cost / Benefit analysis of design options Ensuring all costs are tracked & validated
- Client-side Valuations and certification
- Cost control and preparation of periodic financial reconciliations, reports and forecasts
- Reviewing and analysing Main Contractors Tender submissions
- Cost comparison and main contractor selection
- Tendering of large subcontract packages
- Cost exercises for clients including Value Engineering Tendering
- Deal with correspondence in relation to commercial and contractual issues
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Developer or Contractor experience is a must
- Experience of re claddings and fire improvements
- Experienced in developing cost plans from drawings
- Working knowledge of Cost X
- Understanding of JCT Design and Build contracts
- UK Driving Licence and own car
