Location: M5 Corridor (Gloucester, Bristol)
INDUSTRY/PRODUCT: . A group of two companies involved with heavy materials handling incorporating heavy capacity lift trucks, container handlers and hydraulic cranes largely used in various ports and other heavy industries nationwide.
Service Technician Job Description: Responsible to the Operations Director and his team and will be varied. Given the dynamic nature of the operations department, daily agendas can change very quickly so time-management and the ability to prioritise is essential. The role includes, but is not limited, to the following:-
*Responding to engineering requirements as instructed by the line-manager. This may involve breakdown of equipment, inspections or general preventative maintenance.
Having experience of heavy plant equipment or agricultural equipment is an alternative industry experience if you have not worked on large lifting equipment.
Skills
*Hydraulic systems
*CI Engine systems - direct injection to common rail
*DC electrics and electronics
*Basic knowledge of air braking systems
*Oil immersed braking systems
*Power shift transmission preferable torque converter
*Basic skills and safety training.
*The Company operates a dedicated software programme (Protean) - Full training will be provided both in-house and also, if required, externally
*All other product and compliance training will be provided by the Company.
Person Specification: Ideal Background etc
proven hands on experience from heavy lifting equipment, agricultural, heavy plant/ construction
