We are delighted to hear from you if you are recently qualified as an Engineering or Land Surveyor and would like an immediate one week contract working on an interesting and exciting assignment. If you are searching for your first contract as a Surveyor or are looking to add to your assignment portfolio since qualifying, then we would love to discuss this role with you further.
Working on a dam monitoring project in Dumfries and Galloway you will provide support to the Lead Surveyor including setting up and levelling the instruments. You will benefit greatly from working with a highly professional Surveyor in which you can learn on the job and expand your skills and abilities.
This is a 12 day assignment and your role as Survey Assistant will include:
Setting up the survey equipment and moving to post as instructed by the Lead Surveyor
Overseeing the safety of the equipment
Assisting in anywhere to complete the required work
As a newly qualified Land or Engineering Surveyor this assignment will gain you valuable knowledge and experience working on this challenging but stimulating monitoring project in the beautiful Scottish region of Dumfries & Galloway.
If you believe you have the right skills and experience for this role, you will also need to demonstrate:
Qualification in Engineering/Land Surveying preferable
Capable of setting up Survey equipment over a point
Knowledge or theory of survey procedures
Committed and obedient to instructions
CSCS essential; First Aid, SMSTS or SSSTS will be an advantage
