Key Responsibilities

As a Trainee Commercial Administrator within our Eastern & Midlands region, you will be responsible for providing general administrative support with a specific focus on the Commercial Team, which is made up of Commercial Managers and a growing team of Quantity Surveyors. Experience is not essential for this role and all training will be provided.

Duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Processing Sub-Contractor payment notices.
  • Assisting in the management of cash.
  • Collating and issuing meeting packs.
  • Processing meeting minutes.
  • General administrative duties.
  • Assisting the Commercial Team.
  • Office duties.

What do we need from you?

Being proficient in using Microsoft software will play a key part in your success in this role, as well as having the ability to produce well-presented and structured information materials.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good level of education

  • Experience of contracts is desirable as well as knowledge of using accounting systems (e.g. Coins)

  • Good standard of IT skills (MS Office in particular Excel)

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally

  • Good time-management and organisational skills, able to prioritise workload

  • Methodical approach with a strong attention to detail

  • Proven experience of working within a team
