I'm excited to be recruiting for a well-established, forward-thinking transport & Infrastructure consultancy seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their growing team. With 3 offices across the UK, they deliver innovative solutions across transport planning, highways (S278/S38), drainage, and infrastructure projects for major private and public sector clients nationwide.
The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage a range of highway design projects, working closely with the Senior Management Team while mentoring junior staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Project management and delivery of S278/S38 highway schemes
- Preparation and review of designs compliant with DMRB, MCHW & local guidance
- Overseeing resource allocation and team performance
- Client liaison and technical advice at senior level
- Use of Civils 3D, PDS Flow and preparation of contract documents
About You:
We're looking for a proactive engineer with:
- Proven experience delivering S278/S38 projects
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of DMRB
- Confident leadership, mentoring and project management abilities
- Proficiency in Civils 3D & PDS Flow
- Ideally, membership of a relevant professional body

Role & Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, development and editing of drawings, models, and supporting design documentation
- Support the project lead across all project stages, with an emphasis on concept through to planning (RIBA 0-3)
- Produce visual representations and develop design options for team review
- Contribute to plan checks and ensure high-quality project delivery
- Communicate clearly with team members, consultants, and other stakeholders
- Research materials, construction methods and sustainable design techniques
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and British Standards
- Understand and align with the practice's values and way of working.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong design and drawing skills (digital and hand-drawn)
- Experience with Vectorworks would be beneficial but training would be offered
- Experience working on early-stage residential and/or workplace schemes
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team
- Understanding of project briefs, deadlines, and budget constraints
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently, using initiative where needed
- Working knowledge of RIBA stages 0-3 is essential
- Knowledge of construction detailing and RIBA Stages 3-6 is beneficial
- Interest in low-carbon design and adaptive reuse
- Comfortable managing multiple projects or workstreams.

Catfoss Recruitment Ltd are currently in partnership with a globally respected R&D company that is looking to recruit an Aerodynamics Engineer to their expanding team.
We are seeking to recruit a talented and passionate Aerodynamics Engineer into our Aerodynamics Department. Reporting to a Team Leader within Aerodynamics, the successful candidate will be expected to support a wide variety of commercial and research projects from inception to completion through all the stages of preparation, wind tunnel testing, aerodynamic analysis and reporting. This position will be focussed on supporting our experimental testing and any experience of commercial wind tunnel applications and advanced measurement techniques would be highly regarded.
The successful candidate would be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of highly skilled engineers to provide our customers with high quality aerodynamic data from a variety of equipment and techniques used across the company's facilities such as the Wind Tunnel and High-Performance Computing cluster, among others.
Typical hours: Full-time, 40-hour per week (shift work may be required)
Salary range: £30,000 to £35,000 (depending on experience)
Aerodynamics Engineer - This is a varied and demanding role and it involves a number of duties and responsibilities:
* Provide technical leadership and support to the Project Team
* Deliver projects to the satisfaction of the customer to the required quality standards within time and cost constraints
* Deal with client requests as appropriate, participate in the preparation of technical bids and oversee aerodynamic, mechanical, computing and programme requirements for wind tunnel and other tests
* Take responsibility for data quality and timely provision of results and/or reports to a global client base.
* Conduct analysis and interpretation of aerodynamic datasets.
* Support to other experimental and numerical tasks relevant to the business.
* Produce written technical reports to accompany analysis and development activities
* Be proactive in the on-going development of innovative processes and capability of company testing facilities.
Aerodynamics Engineer - What we are looking for in you:
* Degree level qualification, or have equivalent experience in an aerospace, engineering or science and technology related discipline
* Relevant industrial or academic work experience is desirable
* Experience of wind tunnel testing
* Demonstrable knowledge of Aerodynamics from a relevant field
* Ability and experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
* Excellent communication and networking skills.
* Willingness to engage with both internal and external parties
* Ability to see projects through to completion
* Exhibit confidence to question the status quo and to strive for improvement.

Role & Responsibilities

Required Skills & Experience
- Chartered Landscape Architect with a minimum of 3 years post-CMLI experience
- Proven track record in delivering successful landscape projects
- For Design-focused roles: Strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit)
- For LVIA-focused roles: Extensive experience in undertaking LVIAs, including knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines and GIS
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

Site is accessible via public transport and has free on-site parking.
Working hours will be 7.30 - 16.30 Monday to Friday with the potential for weekend work.
